Jarvis leads Ladycat 8th Grade A team over Granbury Acton

The Aledo Middle School eighth-grade A team Ladycats rolled to a 42-10 victory over Granbury Acton Middle School Thursday in Aledo.

Maddy Jarvis scored 9 of her game-high 11 points in the first quarter to help the Lady Cats jump out to a 14-0 lead after one quarter.

Maddy Jarvis led all scorers with 11 points.

The Ladycats used their full-court press to force dozens of Granbury turnovers in the game, especially in the first quarter. Aledo stretched the lead to 19-0 before Granbury got on the scoreboard.

Clair Byers scored in every quarter and finished with 9 points for the Ladycats. Lauren Hawk and Presley Hull each scored 6 points. Also scoring were Kandle Boggus, 6 points, McKenzie Grau, 3, and Reagan Davis, 2.

The Ladycat 8th Grade A Team improves to 11-1 with the victory.

The B and C teams also had impressive victories in Thursday’s sweep of the Lady Pirates. The B Team won 40-8, while the C Team had a 47-4 victory.
