JV Ladycats open district with a victory over Wylie

The Aledo JV volleyball team opened District 4-5A play with a 25-14, 20-25, 25-14 over Abilene Wylie Friday in Aledo.

After the Lady Bulldogs scored the first point in Game 1, the Ladycats went on a 12-3 run to take control of the game.

In game two, Aledo had an 18-16 lead before Wylie went on a 9-2 run to close out the game and even the match at 1-1.

The Ladycats immediately turned it around to start game 3 with a 5-0 run to take a lead they would never give up. Aledo led by at least 3 points the rest of the game.
