Aledo Shuts Out Rider, 6-0

Taylor McKean struck out 17 batters, including the first eight that she faced, to lead Aledo to a 6-0 victory over Wichita Falls Rider Thursday at Aledo.

Aledo nursed a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning before their bats woke up.

Third baseman Kyleigh Pawlak’s triple brought in two runs to make it 3-0, then the Ladycats scored three more in the bottom of the sixth.

Addie Perry’s single brought in two of the runs and Ana Flores hit a triple to right-center to bring in Aledo’s final run.

First-place Aledo improves to 22-2 overall and 7-0 in district.
