Aledo Blows Out The Colony, 52-7

Aledo got big games from quarterback Hauss Hejny and Davhon Keys in Friday’s 52-7 victory over The Colony to remain undefeated in District 3-5A.

Hejny ran for two touchdowns and passed for two touchdowns to lead the Bearcat offense. Hejny completed seven of 10 passes for 245 yards, including scoring passes to Jalen Pope (67 yards) and Kaydon Finley (70 yards).

Hejny opened the scoring with a 40-yard TD run on Aledo’s first possession. He added a 4-yard TD run with less than a minute left in the first half to make it 42-7 Aledo. It is the second week in a row that Hejny has displayed his ability as a dual-threat quarterback.

Keys scored on offense with a 1-yard touchdown run. He later added a 77-yard interception return for a touchdown.

The Aledo defense came up with three turnovers. In addition to the interception from Keys, the Bearcats also got an interception from Chris Johnson and a fumble recovery.
