DeMarco Roberts had 164 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns to lead Aledo to a 47-26 District 5-5A Division II victory over Arlington Seguin Friday.
Roberts scored on runs of 1, 32 and 4 yards.
Quarterback Brant Hayden completed 12 of 16 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns.
Both touchdown passes were caught by junior receiver Brian Flemming. He scored Aledo’s first touchdown on an 11-yard pass to the left corner of the endzone with 5:12 left in the first quarter to make it 10-0. He also scored on a 37-yard pass in the third quarter.
Kicker Clay Murador opened the scoring for the Bearcats with a 33-yard field goal. He also had a41-yard field goal in the game.
Ryan Williams also scored on a 3-yard run. Williams had 47 rushing yards on six carries and Jeremiah James had 93 yards on 13 carries in the balanced Aledo offense.
Seguin’s final two scores came late in the game against Aledo’s reserves.
