Top-ranked Aledo made quick work of Waco University, leading 34-0 in the first quarter and 55-6 at halftime.
Aledo ran just 15 offensive plays in the entire first half as the defense added two pick-six interceptions to help with Bearcats pile up the points.
Quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi played just one quarter but still managed to complete four of five passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Ryan Williams also only played a quarter, but had three carries for 40 yards and one touchdown.
Cornerback Sammy Steffe had a 26-yard pick pack six and a 34-yard TD run, all in the first quarter. Aledo led 34-0 after one quarter.
Terry Lewis II added a 50-yard pick-six for Aledo in the second quarter.
Hauss Hejny caught a 24-yard TD pass to open the scoring for Aledo. Hejny also threw a 10 yard TD pass to Dylan Ward in the second quarter.
Jalen Pope had a 35-yard TD reception on Aledo’s second possession. The Bearcats were up 14-0 after running just 4 plays.
The clock ran for the entire second half, even when the teams were on the sidelines after a score, so Aledo only had one possession in each of the last two quarters.
Murador showed off his leg with a 50-yard field goal in the third quarter to make it 58-0.
Dalton Rapp caught a 10-yard TD pass from Brant Hayden to close out Aledo’s scoring.
