First-place Aledo shuts out Rider, 10-0

The Aledo baseball team stayed undefeated in District 4-5A with a 10-0 victory over second place Wichita Falls Rider Friday at Bearcat Field.

The Bearcats jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back.

Jake Bishop got the big inning started with a triple to deep center.

Max Lucas had an RBI single. Nathan Finger got a RBI single that hit the Rider pitcher. Zach Reinert hit a 2-run double down the third base line and Autry Johnson hit a sacrifice fly to score a run.

The Bearcats added three runs in the second and single runs in the third and fifth innings.

Garrison Berkley had an RBI triple in the second. Aledo also scored two runs on wild pitches in the second inning.

Aledo improves to 4-0 in district, while Rider falls to 2-2.
