Boswell, Lassiter Roll Past Paschal, 41-13

Boswell running back Chance Lassiter scored four touchdowns to lead the Pioneers to a 41-13 at home Friday against Paschal to improve to 2-0 on the season.

After a flat first half that ended in a 7-7 tie, Lassiter and Boswell turned it on in the second half.

Lassiter scored on Boswell’s first two possessions of the second half. Lassiter capped a 10-play, 75-yard drive to open the second half with a 5-yard run. It took just three plays and a 62-yard pass from Dju Dju Lords to Lassiter to make it 21-7 Boswell with 5:35 left in the third quarter.

Paschal’s Truman Shelton got his second TD run of the night to make it 21-13. Shelton out-raced the Boswell defense for 62-yards on the TD. Shelton had 18 carries for 223 yards against the Boswell defense.

The Boswell defense came up with three turnovers in the game. Interceptions by Fabrizio Flores and Caden Price, and a fumble recovery by Edgar Trevino.

Boswell quarterback Lords threw a 14-yard touchdown to Kanyon Diaz and he had a 5 yard touchdown run to account for Boswell’s other scores.

On Lords’ touchdown run, he had to hustle back to snag bad snap that went back to almost the 20-yard line before he scrambled to the far sideline to score.

Lords completed seven of 10 passes for 140 yards in the game.

Lassiter finished with 175 rushing yards.
