Bearcats Run-Rule Ryan to Open Playoffs

The Aledo Bearcats took a 10-0 victory over Denton Ryan Thursday at Northwest High School to open the bi-district playoff series with a 5-inning run-rule victory.

Garhett Love pitched a complete game 2-hit shutout, while Dylan Duran had a 2-hun homer.

Landon Barnes had a pair of RBI singles and a double. His RBI single in the fifth inning allowed the Bearcats to walk off with the run-rule victory.

Luke Gladchuk had a double in the first inning.

Aledo, the defending 5A Division I state champion, improved to 30-3 with the victory. Game 2 of the playoff series will be 7 p.m. Friday at Northwest.
