Aledo Ladycats Pound Brewer, 15-1

The Aledo Ladycats won their 15th game in a row in dominating fashion, pounding out 14 hits in Friday’s 15-1 victory at Brewer.

The 14 hits included home runs from Presley Hull and Claire Byars, a triple off the right field wall from Addie Perry and a double down the left field line from Maddy Jarvis.

Brenlee Gonzales pitched a complete game 1-hitter with 12 strikeouts and only two walks for the Ladycats. Parker Pride’s solo home run was the only hit by Brewer.

Perry and Texas Ray each had three hits for Aledo, while Hull and Delaney Rosser each had two hits. Ray led the team with three RBI while Hull, Rosser and Ana Flores each had two.

Aledo improved to 23-4-1 and 10-0 in District 5-5A and won their 15th game in a row. During the 15- game winning streak, the Ladycats have outscored opponents 152-7. Aledo has outscored district opponents 118-7.

The Ladycats jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning as the first four batters all reached base and scored. Hull and Ray had RBI singles in the inning. Byars had her home run in the third and Hull had her home run in the fourth. Aledo scored six runs in the top of the sixth to end the game early.

Aledo completes the regular season with a home game Wednesday against Azle and a game next Friday at Granbury.
