7th Grade Football Teams Sweep Kerr

he Aledo Middle school 7th grade football teams swept three games from Burleson Kerr Tuesday at home.

The A team won 39-8, the B team won 14-12 and the C team won 14-8.

In the 7th Grade A game the Bearcats scored on their first possession of the game and never looked back.

Quarterback Ethan Hodo threw a 5-yard TD pass to Jackson Lively on the Bearcats 5th offensive plac=y of the game. The TD was set up by a 28-yard pass to Will Barrett.

Hodo threw his second TD pass to Barrett on Aledo’s second possession of the game. The 8-yard touchdown throw completed a five-play drive.

A – Brooks Burdine 6 pass from Blake Burdine. (Blake Burdine run)

In the B game, quarterback Waldron Byars threw a 10 yard TD pass to Muaaz Choudhry with 16 seconds left in the game to rally the Bearcats to a 14-12 victory.

The defense set up the winning score by forcing Kerr to turn the ball over on downs at their own 10-yard line.

Aledo’s first touchdown was a 30-yard TD pass by Byars.

In the C game, Aledo jumped out to a 14-0 lead then had to hold off a Kerr rally to pull out the victory.

Aledo’s second touchdown was a Devin Miller 20-yard pass to Bragen Graff.
