Ladycat Softball Opens District with 13-3 Victory

The Aledo softball team pounded out 13 runs while freshman pitcher held Abilene Wylie to four hits as the Ladycats opened district play with a 13-3 victory Tuesday.

Freshman Macy Graf had three of Aledo’s eight hits and scored two runs. Sophomore Morgan Brown had a double and a triple. Brown scored twice and had an RBI.

The Ladycats broke the game open with eight runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Audrey Pearce had a two-run single, Brown had an RBI double and Heidi Fischer had a two-run double.

The Ladycats return to action Friday with a non-district game at Krum.
