Nathalie Touchet hit two home runs and got the complete game victory in Aledo’s 13-3 District 5-5A win over Saginaw Thursday at home.
Touchet, who rarely gets to hit, had solo home runs to left in the second and fourth innings for Aledo. Coming into the game Touchet had six at bats on the season, with one home run in those six at bats. On Thursday, Touchet had to home runs in three at bats. She senior pitcher now leads the team in home runs.
On the mound, Touchet struck out eight and gave up two earned runs on six hits.
Claire Byars also had a home run for the Ladycats, who had 13 hits to score 13 runs. Presley Hull had three hits and three RBI, while Addie Perry, and Maddy Jarvis each had two hits.
Aledo improved to 21-4-1 on the season and 9-0 in district. The Ladycats have just four regular-season games remaining. The Ladycats next play Tuesday at Forney in a non-district game.
