QB Hayden leads 8th Grade A team past Granbury, 55-0

Aledo Middle School 8th Grade A team quarterback Brant Hayden threw for three touchdowns and ran for two to lead the Bearcats to a 55-0 victory over Granbury Tuesday at Aledo Middle School.

Tailback Grant Mooney added a pair of long (65 and 44 yards) TD runs.

After Granbury fumbled away the opening kickoff, Hayden threw a 23-yard TD pas to Christian Hillman. Hayden had a 13-yard TD run on Aledo’s third offensive play. Mooney had a 65-yard TD run on the fourth offensive play. After a 5 yard TD run by Hayden to cap a 2-play drive the Bearcats capped the first half offensive onslaught with a pair of 1-play drives.

Hayden had a 54 yard TD run with 1:23 left in the first half. Then, after a Dillon Vasquez interception with seven seconds left in the half, Hayden tossed a 54-yard TD to Clay Murador as the first half expired.
