Quarterback Ayden Harper ran for 146 yards on nine carries, including TD runs of 6 and 72 yards, to lead the Aledo Freshman Black team to a 28-6 victory over Everman Thursday at Bearcat Stadium.
The Black team also had a 78-yard TD run from Connor Smith and a 4 yard TD run from Carson Nitsch.
Aledo held a 12-0 lead at the half, but when Everman got a 76-yard TD run with 34 seconds left in the third quarter the lead was just 12-6.
Harper kick started the next Aledo drive with a 32 yard run then Nitsch capped the drive with his TD run. Harper added a PAT run to make it 20-6 with 6:05 left in the game. Harper iced the game with his 72-yard TD run with 1:56 left in the game.
