Owens leds Aledo past Cooper, 66-44

Tre Owen led the Bearcats with 16 points as Aledo beat Abilene Cooper 66-44 to remain in second-place in District 5-4A.

Cole Nitsch added 15 points and Reid Dietrich scored 11 for the Bearcats (11-18 overall, 3-1 district), who remained a half-game back of front-running Wichita Falls Rider.

Abilene Cooper fell to 13-11 and 1-2 in district.
