The Aledo Ladycat volleyball team swept Southwest Christian School, 25-15 , 25-17 , 25-11, Tuesday in their home opener to improve to 9-1 on the season.
Aledo came out slow in the first set, trailing 6-2 early. The Ladycats took their first lead a 8-7 on an ace and never looked back, outscoring the Eagles 17-7 to close out the first set.
Aledo led the second set just 17-13 before going on a 8-4 run to finish the set.
Southwest led 2-1 in the third set before the Ladycats went on a 14-2 run, including a 9-0 streak at one point. Aledo then closed the match out with an ace.
Aledo will play in a tournament this weekend then play at Midlothian next Tuesday.
