Pitcher Nathalie Touchet pitched a complete game three-hitter, while Aledo batters collected 12 hits in Friday’s 12-1 bi-district playoff win over Denton Ryan to send the Ladycats into the second round of the playoffs.

Texas Ray went 3-4, including an RBI double and four RBI. Maddie Jarvis scored three runs and had an RBI, while going 2-3 in the game. Macy Graf had an RBI double and Marissa Powell went 2-4 and scored twice.

The Ladycats will met Mansfield Legacy second round of the playoffs. Legacy swept two games from South Hills, 11-5 and 9-3

In Aledo’s two-game sweep of Denton Ryan, the Laycats outscored the Raiders 26-4.

Just like in game 1, Aledo jumped out to a lead in the first inning and never trailed in the game.

Aledo’s first three batters of the game reached base. Graf led off with a walk then Powell followed with a single to right. Ray got the first of her four RBI with a line single to left and Clair Byars drove in the second run with a sacrifice fly.

The Ladycats added two runs in the second inning to make it 4-0. Powell hit a double down the third base line to drive in Aledo’s third run, then Ray singled to left to make it 4-0.

In the top of the fourth, Graf hit an RBI double to left, then Ray doubled off the centerfield wall to make it 6-0.

Aledo put the game away in the top of the sixth by batting around to score six runs. Touchet then put Ryan away in the bottom of the inning to complete the game.
