Aledo pitchers Kayleigh Smith and Brelee Gonzales held Waxahachie to one infield single as Aledo edged the Lady Indians 1-0 Tuesday at Aledo.
Waxahachie only had two base runners in the game and neither got past first base.
Aledo got its lone run in bottom of the second inning when pitch runner Kaylee Lucas scored from second when Reagan Davis slapped a single to left. Aledo got the runner in scoring position on a hit batter and a stolen base.
The Ladycats only other hit was a double by Texas Ray in the bottom of the first inning.
Smith got the win with 5 shutout innings with three strikeouts, no walks and only the infield single in the top of the third inning.
Gonzales got the save by getting out six consecutive batters.
