Ladycat 8th Grade B Team Improves to 8-0

The Aledo Middle School eighth-grade B team Ladycats rolled to a 40-8 victory over Granbury Acton Middle School Thursday in Aledo to improve to 8-0 on the season.

Karlie Britton scored 12 points to lead Aledo, which led 10-0 after one quarter and 21-4 at halftime. Kamryn Kupper scored six of her eight points in the first quarter to help Aledo jump out to the double-digit lead. Jamie Smith added seven points for the Ladycats.

Jamie Smith scored 7 points.

The Ladycats used their full-court press to force dozens of Granbury turnovers in the game, especially in the first quarter.

Aledo outscored Granbury in the third quarter 6-2 and 13-2 in the fourth quarter.

The A and C teams also had impressive victories in Thursday’s sweep of the Lady Pirates. The A Team won 42-10, while the C Team had a 47-4 victory.
