Bearcats Open Practice to Defend State Title

While most high school students are still in bed, defending state champion Aledo football players are on the field at 5 a.m. as they go through fall camp to prepare for the 2023 season.

Aledo is the top-ranked team in 5A Division I and will open the season at home on on Friday, Aug. 25 against Parish Episcopal. It will be Aledo’s first game under new head coach Robby Jones, who has been Aledo’s offensive coordinator.

Bearcat fans get a chance to watch Aledo’s scrimmage against Stephenville at 6:30 pm on Thursday, Aug. 17.
