The Aledo boys turned a close game into the lopsided game by outscoring the Eagles 21-6 in the third quarter Tuesday at Bearcat gym to earn a 60-34 non-district win against Trinity Christian Academy.
The first quarter was even tighter than the 3.3 mile road trip that TCA made to Aledo High School.
The quarter ended tied at 8-8, with Daniel Sohn scoring all of Aledo’s points. Sohn had a game high 19 points, including 7 in Aledo’s big third quarter.
Aledo’s outside shots weren’t falling in the first half. The Bearcats failed to hit a three-pointer in the first half.
With the outside shots not falling, Aledo pushed the ball in the third quarter to get some easy transition buckets.
In addition to Sohn’s 19 points, Chase Becker and Max Newell each added seven points. Cole Nitsch scored 6 points and Reid Dietrich added 5.
TCA was led Malen Baldridge’s 11 points and Tucker Crumpler added 8.
