Aledo Run Rules Fossil Ridge, 14-0

Taylor McKean had 13 strike outs while tossing a 2-hit shutout in Aledo’s 14-0 victory Tuesday over Fossil Ridge.

Aledo shortstop Marina Taveras had a 3-run triple in the first inning to start the scoring for the Ladycats. Taveras also had an RBI single in the fourth inning. Delany Rosser had 3 RBI as Aledo improved to 19-3 overall and 8-0 in district play.

A leadoff triple to center in the fourth inning was the first hit by Fossil Ridge, but McKean stranded the runner by striking out the next three batters. McKean had at least two strike outs in each of the five innings pitched.

Aledo continues district play with a Friday game at Saginaw.
