Aledo put on an offensive clinic in its 59-35 regional semifinal victory over 5th ranked Red Oak Friday night at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington.

Bearcat sophomore running back Raycine Guillory had 14 carries for 190 yards and four touchdowns, while sophomore receiver Kaydon Finley had seven reception for 161 yards and two touchdowns. Aledo finished the game with 604 total yards and only punted once all night.

That one punt came with 57 seconds left in the third quarter. Top-ranked Aledo scored on its first eight possessions in the game and led 52-21 at that point and Aledo reserves played most of the fourth quarter. Guillory sat down after his fourth touchdown in the middle of the third quarter.

“I didn’t even have a goal coming in to the game.,” Guillory told a gaggle of reporters after the game. ” I just came out here and said I am going to do what I need to do for my team. I came out here and I got four touchdowns.”

Last year, he said, he was watching playoff games on television. After moving into Aledo in the spring, he is the one who is starring in the playoff highlights on television. In the two playoff games he has played in, Guillory has 377 yards and six touchdowns.

Aledo quarterback Hauss Hejny was 13-18 passing for 245 yards and two touchdowns, both to Finley in the first half.

Guillory opened the scoring with a 29-yard run to complete Aledo’s 11-play, 90-yard opening drive.

Aledo’s second drive started at the 16 yardline, but it took just one play to cover the 84-yards. With Red Oak looking to slow Aledo’s rushing attack, Hejny hit Finley 20 yards down field and Finley caught the ball in stride over the middle and outran the Red Oak defense for the rest of the yardage.

The big pass play softened Red Oak’s rush defense and Guillory took his next carry 70-yards to pay dirt. To make it 21-7.

Guillory then had a 20-yard TD run to give Aledo a 28-7 lead, but Red Oak then put together a 7-play scoring drive to cut the lead to 28-14.

But the Aledo offense just kept churing out the yards.

Finley got his second TD reception to make it but Red Oak return the ensuing kickoff 89 yards for a score to make it 35-21, but that left Aledo with enough time on the clock to drive into field goal range and Cole Crawford booted a 39-yarder as time expired in the first half to make it 37-21.

Aledo got the ball first in the second half and Guillory quickly added his fourth TD to make it 45-21.

Hawk Patrick-Daniels moved to running back after Guillory left the game with Aledo’s big lead, and he got a 41-yard TD run to make it 52-21. Aledo reserves play the rest of the game and RJ Blake had a 2-yard TD run for Aledo’s final points.

Aledo finished with 355 rushing yards and 31 first downs.
