Aledo JV Black shuts out Boswell, 34-0

The Aledo JV Black team took a 34-0 victory over Boswell Thursday as running backs Jeremiah James and Chandler Ramsey each ran for two touchdowns.

Quarterback Audie Isbell also had a 33-yard TD pass to Brayden Mendez for Aledo, which improved to 2-0.

The defense got things going for the Bearcats when Riley Davis recovered a fumble on Boswell’s first possession. Aledo took over on the Boswell 42 yardline and James had carries of 12, 3, 3, and 7 yards before he capped the drive with an 18-yard run down the right sideline. The TD made it 6-0 with 3:51 left in the first quarter.

Early in the second quarter, Isbell hit Mendez in stride for the 33-yard score. Ryan Teichman’s PAT kick made it 13-0 with 7:05 left in the first half.

The Aledo defense then stopped Boswell and a shanked punt that only went 3 yards set up the Bearcats at the Pioneer 37-yard line. James capped the drive with a 6 yard TD run to make it 20-0 with three minutes left in the first half.

Ramsey scored on a 33-yard run in the third quarter and 6 yard run in the fourth quarter to close out the scoring.
