Five Aledo middle school girls basketball teams win district titles

The Aledo Middle School 7th and 8th Grade Ladycat basketball teams ended their seasons on Monday by sweeping Granbury middle school. All three 7th grade and 8th grade teams defeated Granbury.

In addition to all teams ending the season with a win, five of the six teams ended the season as District Champs.

The seventh grade A team had a 29-4 victory over Granbury and finished the season as District Champs.

The seventh grade B team scored a 25-5 in over Granbury and finished in third place in the district.

The seventh grade C team rolled to a 44-11 victory over Granbury and were District Champs this season.

All three eight grade teams finished as District Champs. The eighth grade A team had a 53-7 victory over Granbury on Monday. The B team won 39-12 and the C team had a 47-6 victory.

“The Ladycats had a great basketball season this year.  We appreciate the hard work ethic the Ladycats showed this season,” coach Jefferis said.
