Aledo JV Black 28, Midlothian 6

Jeremiah James rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Aledo JV Black to a 28-6 victory over Midlothian.

James’ two TD runs capped Aledo drives where he carried the ball on every offensive snap.

The Aledo defense stopped Midlothain’s first drive when Tristan Yelloweyes recovered a fumble.

Aledo took over at the their own 23. James had runs of 4, 13, 7 and 53 yards on the four-play scoring drive.

After Midlothian cut the lead to 7-6, Chandler Ramsey had a 58-yard TD run to push the lead to 14-6 with 4:49 left in the first half.

Zachary Blackett then blocked a Midlothian put to give the Bearcats the ball back at the Panthers’ 31. Seven consecutive carries by James got Aledo into the endzone with nine seconds left in the half.

Aledo’s final score came on a 28 yard pass from quarterback Audie Isbell to Brayden Mendez with 2:36 left in the third quarter.
