JV Orange 45, Cleburne 0

JV Orange quarterback Gatlin Johnson ran for three touchdowns and threw a 21 yard TD pass to Jaedon Pellegrino for another in the Bearcats 45-0 win over Cleburne Thursday at Bearcat Stadium.

Johnson had touchdown runs of 3, 6, and 7 yards.

Matt Tague had scoring runs of 26 and 24 yards as he carried the load for the Bearcat offense. Tague had 177 yards on 20 carries.

Kicker Morgan Huhtanen got the Bearcats on the scoreboard first with a 25-yard field goal. He also added six extra points.

The Bearcat defense pitched a shutout thanks to a defensive stand just before the half. The interior of the defense stopped a Cleburne run at the 2 on the last play of the first half. The defense also stopped several Cleburne attempts to convert on fourth down, including a fake punt late in the game.
