8th Grade C-team runs past Everman, 34-6

Tailbacks Tanner Wheaton and Michael Brown each had two touchdown runs as the Aledo Middle School 8th Grade C team opened the season with a 34-6 win over Everman.

Wheaton opened the scoring with TD runs of 20 and 15 yards.

Brown scored from 23-yards out just before halftime to give Aledo a 20-0 lead.

After Everman got a 47-yard TD run in the third quarter to cut the lead to 20-6, Brown’s 15 yard run capped a 10-play drive to make it 28-6 with 3:15 left in the game.

After Aledo recovered a short kick off, Luke Dotter scored on a 44-yard run for the Bearcat’s final points.

Aledo swept all three games from Everman, with the A team winning 22-6 and the B team winning 36-0.

All three teams are 1-0 after their victories to open the season. Next week the eighth grade teams will play at Weatherford Hall Middle School, while the Aledo seventh grade teams will be at home against Hall.
